The British Council's BritLit project aims to encourage teachers to include English literature in their ELT classes.
The project provides teachers with various materials including soundfiles and activities.
Down by the Cool of the Pool is an
interesting example for primary learners and includes cross-curricular ideas.
Ex Poser, by Paul Jennings, is suitable
for A2-B1 levels of the CEF. The kit includes a language in use worksheet and after reading exercises.

Bonus : here, Elisabeth Michaud describes how she goes about getting her pupils to read for pleasure. Some interesting
tips.

The Paris website for English teachers working within the Education nationale is probably the best place to start. Premier poste provides advice on how to build a lesson and a teaching unit. It also looks at listening and speaking skills. How do I manage TTT (teacher talk time)? Do I correct all the mistakes I hear? When should I correct
mistakes?
Keep up to date with new developments to do with the end of school exams - le D.N.B. (Diplôme National du Brevet).
